The Center offers a support group that meets at our Culver City location.

Adult Support Group
Every other Wednesday 10am-11:30am
Our new support group will discuss a variety of topics such as transportation, health concerns, the medical system, dating and relationships, work, wellness and health, adaptive technology, independent living, and family support.

Tarzana Location

The Center offers support groups that meet at our Tarzana location.

Senior Support Group 60+
Monday 10am-12pm or Thursday 2pm-3:30pm
This group is educational with interesting discussion topics related to low vision. Anyone who is visually impaired and 60 and over is welcome to attend. Come join us! If you would like more information or to RSVP, please contact Vickie Parker, MFT, group facilitator, at (818) 705 – 5954.

 

COPE (Confidence, Opportunity, Perseverance & Enjoyment) Program
1st & 3rd Friday of the month COPE Support Group Early 20′s – 60

The COPE Program is a support group for adults with low vision who may, or may not be in the workforce, but are seeking to create connections, learn more information, and enjoy a recreational environment. The group meets twice a month to discuss focus topics that deal with social, emotional, employment, technology, and family issues. Over the course of the program, there are opportunities for special presentations and guest lecturers. The group is facilitated by Vickie Parker, MFT.

• You should be between the ages of 25 and 60 and have low vision

• You do not have to be a client of The Center for the Partially Sighted to attend

• There is no cost—the COPE Program is absolutely free
