Our doctors are recognized as being leaders in the field of low vision rehabilitation and provide training to eye doctors and other professionals who are interested in helping children and adults with vision impairment.
Internship and Residency program
Our doctors are adjunct faculty professors of the Southern California College of Optometry and they train interns and doctors to provide specialized vision examinations for people with low vision. The Center is a training location for optometry interns and resident doctors who wish to help children and adults with low vision. Our doctors provide both didactic and clinical training to provide the clinicians with the experience and expertise to improve the vision of people with low vision.
In addition to the intern and resident training program, our doctors also train numerous doctors from across the world who want to learn how to help people with vision impairment to see better to learn, work, and perform daily activities independently.
Lectures and Seminars
The doctors of the Center also lecture extensively across the country on the topics of low vision rehabilitation. These conferences and conventions invite low vision specialists from across the world to learn about the latest treatments in low vision and our doctors have presented numerous lectures at these important meetings.
At these seminars, our doctors share their latest findings and procedures to teach other doctors how they can help their patients.
